Tegucigalpa The National Institute for Migration (INM), will strengthen its main land border delegations with the objective of attending to the increase of the projected migratory flow within the framework of the holidays of the Agostinas Festivals of El Salvador.
The operational plan will be developed from Friday, July 31, 2026 until Sunday, August 9, 2026.
For this period, the migration authorities plan a high income of Salvadoran citizens who will visit different tourist destinations in the country.
Special hours and 24-hour care
The delegation of El Florido, Copán This special attention will begin on Friday, July 31, at 6:00 a.m. and will end on Sunday, August 9, at 12:00 p.m.
To meet this extraordinary day, this border control point will be reinforced with a technical and operational contingent sent from Tegucigalpa which shall consist of seven inspectors, one technician and one supervisor.
For its part, El Amatillo maintain its regular 24-hour service, backed by a special monitoring team that will travel from Tegucigalpa from July 31 to August 9, 2026.
Monitoring
In the delegations of El Poy, Guasaule and Aguacaliente, the INM It will carry out rigorous monitoring days focused on the two weekends of the holiday period, days on which statistically the largest influx of travelers is concentrated.
The usual hours of care at these immigration control points will be maintained. At El Poy the hours of care are from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. And in Aguacaliente and Guasaule es of 6:00 to.m. to 9:00 p.m.
With these actions, the Government of the Republic, through INM reaffirms its commitment to provide efficient, orderly and safe attention to the Central American brothers who choose Honduras as your holiday destination.
