Tegucigalpa. The President of the Republic, Nasry Asfura, today highlighted the advances in technological modernization of the e-gates immigration control system.

Upon his return to the country, the president shared his experience in using the technological platform, which was enabled exclusively for Honduran citizens at this stage. The ruler called the system's operation "perfect", both on his departure on Saturday, September 19, and on his re-entry today, September 24.

The president's message to the e-Gates

"I invite everyone in Honduras to make use of these systems," said the president. He informed the population that there is an official digital platform in which travelers can register in advance. This step allows information to be stored electronically, eliminating long rows and drastically reducing waiting times at checkpoints.

President Asfura stressed that the main objective of these innovations is to provide greater ease, comfort and promptness to the travelling TURNS. He also expressed his vote of confidence to the authorities of the National Institute of Migration to continue on the path of technological innovation.

"I hope that Migration will continue to improve all electronic welfare systems and to make it easier for each of Honduras to enter the country. This system will give us a lot of ease and speed," he concluded.
